About the Role

Our client is a QLD government statutory authority based in Fortitude Valley QLD. They are currently seeking 2x Billing Officers to come in and work with them on a temp contact opportunity until 29th May 2026.

Candidates for this role must have:

  • Previous experience with Billing and Metering
  • Previous government experience
  • Previous experience in a similar role

Key responsibilities include:

  • Regulatory Governance: Support the development of financial policies to ensure full compliance with legal standards and industry best practices.
  • Operational Compliance: Adhere to mandatory procedures and regulatory codes, ensuring all work meets required standards and exceptions are management-authorised.

  • Capability Building: Proactively enhance technical skills through formal training, coaching, and development planning to maintain procedural expertise.

  • Workflow Management: Prioritise personal tasks to meet productivity and quality targets while using performance systems to drive continuous improvement.

  • Advanced Customer Service: Resolve complex or non-standard customer cases and inquiries that fall outside routine operational boundaries.

  • Investigative Communication: Utilise internal and external systems to research account data and gather information necessary for resolving customer issues.

  • Data Accuracy: Extract and input critical data into maintenance systems to ensure record integrity.

  • CRM Maintenance: Record every customer interaction in CRM systems to provide the high-quality data needed for business development and retention.

About You

You will be an experienced Billing/Metering professional with proven experience and reliability in previous positions.

The successful candidate will possess:

  • Previous experience with Billing and Metering
  • Previous government experience
  • Previous experience in a similar role
